Peaks for Prostate Fundraiser

Ever wondered where James (our beloved pub landlord) get his love of beer from? That’ll be his dad, Rob’s responsibility who spent his younger years growing up in his parent’s pub. Nowadays, you’ll never find Rob too far from The Hopbine. Whether that’s digging up the garden, sanding down tables or enjoying a pint in his favourite jug at the bar (N.B. never buy Rob a pint in a straight glass, it won’t wash well!) - he’s very much a part of the pub.

Last year, Rob was sadly diagnosed with prostate cancer. A diagnosis that he took in his stride and fully embraced life with cancer.

This June, will be a year on from Rob's diagnosis and to mark this, James will take on the challenge of climbing the UK's biggest three peaks in just 24 hours. With the support of some of his nearest and dearest including his sister Charlotte, the team will be fundraising for the vital work that Prostate Cancer UK do and more importantly, raising awareness of the big ‘C word’.

Join us at our fundraiser event at The Hopbine where James will be taking on a Man v BBQ challenge serving up a delicious spread. In return, we’ll be asking for a small donation of your choice to donate directly to this incredible cause. There’ll also be a raffle and other fun activities to get involved in so don’t go ‘peak-ing’ (no pun intended) too early!
